S. Raghujit Singh Virk

Senior Vice-President, SGPC • Chairman, Working Group, Miri Piri Institute of Medical Science & Research

S. Raghujit Singh Virk Ji is a distinguished leader of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), serving with dedication and humility for over two decades. First elected as a member of SGPC in 1996, and later as Senior Vice-President in 2005, he has continued to hold this position with trust and respect from the Panth, providing consistent guidance in matters of religious, social, and institutional significance.

Throughout his journey, S. Raghujit Singh Virk Ji has embodied the true spirit of seva (selfless service), never viewing his position as one of privilege, but rather as an opportunity to serve the Guru, the Panth, and humanity. His family carries a long tradition of service, with his grandfather and father also having served in significant public and Panthic roles, making seva a legacy passed down through generations.

As Chairman of the Working Group, Miri Piri Institute of Medical Science & Research, Virk Ji brings the same spirit of humility, commitment, and vision. He envisions Miri Piri Institute as a centre where modern healthcare and medical education are seamlessly integrated with the timeless Sikh values of compassion, ethics, and service to mankind.

Under his guidance, the institute is not just being developed as a super-specialty hospital and an upcoming medical college, but as a living reflection of SGPC’s mission — to blend excellence in healthcare with seva, integrity, and community upliftment.

His vision is to ensure that every patient is treated with dignity, every student is nurtured with knowledge and values, and every professional is inspired by the spirit of selfless service.
