The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Sri Amritsar Sahib, as the supreme representative body of the Sikhs, has always upheld its role not only as a custodian of historic Sikh shrines but also as a religious, charitable, and humanitarian organisation dedicated to the service of humanity. Beyond its primary spiritual mission, SGPC has consistently taken bold initiatives in education, healthcare, and social welfare, thereby touching lives across generations.

For us, education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge it is a process of holistic human development, blending intellectual growth with spiritual enrichment, ethical values, and social responsibility. In the true spirit of Sikhism, education means continuous development and the widening of wisdom so that one may serve as a benefactor to society.

Guided by this vision, SGPC today manages more than 50 schools, 2 universities including 1 medical university in addition to charitable hospitals, hostels, and homes for the differently-abled.

The establishment of the Miri Piri Institute of Medical Science & Research is an extension of this enduring mission. Conceived as a super-specialty hospital and an upcoming medical college, it reflects SGPC’s determination to contribute meaningfully in the field of healthcare and medical education. Our aim is to provide accessible, affordable, and value-based healthcare while nurturing a new generation of doctors who embody compassion, integrity, and service.
