Clinical services include antenatal care, normal and high-risk deliveries, caesarean sections, infertility counselling and treatment, management of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), fibroids, ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy, and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). The department is skilled in performing advanced gynaecological procedures such as TAH/TLH, laparotomy, D&C, MTP, hysterectomy, endometrial and cervical biopsies, pap smear, hysterotomy, and cryotherapy.

Specialized focus is given to high-risk obstetrics, ensuring safe maternal and neonatal outcomes through 24×7 availability of obstetricians, anaesthetists, neonatologists, and ICU backup. Preventive care services such as cancer screening, cervical cytology, and reproductive health counselling are also an integral part of the department’s offerings.

The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department is being developed as a key teaching unit, providing clinical postings, ward teaching, case discussions, and research opportunities for students while continuing to deliver excellence in women’s health services.
